The Niagara II Plus Rapid Rinse Accessory by Glass Expansion (Australia) doubles the productivity of an ICP-OSE or ICP-MS instrument. The combination of a switching valve and flow injection technology accompanied by a fast positive displacement pump eliminates most of the overhead typically required for accurate analysis. Glass expansion developed a low sweep volume switching valve specifically for this accessory. The valve is designed for long life by using a rigid rotor with replaceable seals for each outlet.
An additional benefit of the Niagara II Plus is the extension of lifetime for all ICP consumables, including the torch, nebulizer and cones. Although a peristaltic pump is used to rinse the sample lines between samples, the sample itself never comes into contact with the pump eliminating potential contamination issues.
